     The History of Musical Instruments

Music transcends cultures and countries. All cultures across humanity have contributed to the development of music. However, the contemporary, classic, folk and other music

would not have been created had it not been for musical instruments. A rich heritage underlies the creation and

evolution of the musical instruments with unique contributions from different cultures across time.

Moreover, the same instruments create very diverse music

from one another. Culture Fest 2017 is planning for all of us

to explore the "History of Musical Instruments" exhibit with display of diverse instruments, live performances of the instruments, hands on areas for children and much more to stimulate your senses.

Come join us to learn our heritage of musical instruments with special focus on Louisiana and SWLA.
